Goochland County conducted a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) Orientation Session with department heads to provide participants with a knowledge and understanding of the plan. The county has spent the last six months developing a COOP plan for county operations as part of our preparedness for potential emergencies or disasters. The purpose of a COOP plan is to address how critical operations (functions) will continue under a broad range of circumstances.

Spearheaded by Goochland County Fire Rescue, Chief Officer & Deputy Coordinator of Emergency Management Robin Hillman and Fire Chief Eddie Ferguson led the COOP plan process in coordination with Andrew Forcucci and The Olson Group, Ltd..  #emergencymanagement #preparedness
