The Olson Group, Ltd. (OGL) provided training services to multiple counties in the Central Virginia Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Region addressing incident command, public information, NIMS, hazard management, PPE and other topics. Our training services included the development of all handout materials including a Student Manual, Instructor Guide, Daily Agendas, Participant Roster and Sign-In sheet, PowerPoint presentation, any written tests, and a Participant Feedback Form. OGL also developed and conducted several tabletop and full-scale exercises under this contract.
As part of the ongoing training program, OGL developed a Training Course Catalog and Curriculum Description document, describing the curriculum and format for most of the training classes that were provided to the UASI. Each description included the Track Number, DHS Course Number, Title of the course, course length, prerequisites, description, topics, audience, minimum and maximum number of students, and other pertinent information. Some of the courses provided include: ICS 300 and 400; ICS Forms Review; Critical Incident Response for Field Officers, and for Supervisors and Managers; Mass Decon for First Responders; Evacuation and Sheltering; Advanced Detection and Monitoring; Sports and Special Events Incident Management; All Hazards Incident Commander, Operations, Finance and Planning Section Chiefs; and many others.
