The Olson Group, Ltd. (OGL) is the prime contractor supporting the Delaware Emergency Management Agency’s statewide exercise program. Since inception, OGL has designed, developed, conducted, and evaluated more than 45 all-hazards HSEEP-guided discussion and operations-based exercises, including multiple exercises with an active shooter focus.
Christiana Mall Active Shooter TTX: OGL is currently designing and developing a tabletop exercise addressing an active shooter at the Christiana Mall in Newark, DE.
Kent County Active Shooter Exercise Series: OGL designed, conducted, and evaluated a tabletop exercise and a full-scale exercise addressing responses to an active shooter at a large shopping mall in Dover, Delaware. The exercises provided local law enforcement, emergency medical, fire, emergency management, and private sector players the opportunity to consider, apply and evaluate their plans, training, and capabilities for responding to a determined active shooter threat.
Lord Baltimore Elementary Active Shooter Exercise Series: OGL designed, conducted, and evaluated a tabletop and full-scale exercise focusing on the response to an active shooter at Lord Baltimore Elementary School in Ocean View, DE. The exercises provided local law enforcement, EMS, fire, and school officials the opportunity to exercise and evaluate Lord Baltimore’s emergency plan, as well as the active shooter protocols for the Ocean View Police Department and the coordination between OVPD and fire and EMS during an active shooter response.
City of Wilmington Active Shooter TTX, Planning Workshop, & Drill: OGL designed, conducted, and evaluated two exercises and a planning workshop focusing on emergency protocols for the Louis L. Redding City/County Building in Wilmington, DE. The exercises and workshop provided City/County Building personnel, building management and security, City law enforcement, fire and EMS, and City officials to explore and address areas of vulnerability for a large government building in downtown Wilmington.
