Delaware Emergency Management Agency Statewide Exercise Support Services Rescue Task Force Workshops

The Olson Group, Ltd. (OGL) supported the Delaware Emergency Management Agency’s (DEMA’s) statewide exercise program. As part of this exercise program, OGL designed, conducted, and evaluated a continuity of operations (COOP) full scale exercise (FSE) for DEMA, Delaware State Police (DSP), and the Delaware National Guard (DNG). Exercise activities included DEMA and DSP personnel evacuating the State Emergency Operations Center Campus, which houses DEMA’s offices and a DSP troop office. DEMA personnel traveled to the DNG Joint Operations Center (JOC) and set up operations there in accordance with their COOP plans. OGL reviewed and evaluated DEMA and DSP COOP plans, led exercise planning meetings, coordinated exercise control and evaluation staff during exercise conduct, and developed the After-Action Report for the exercise. This FSE identified plan and resource gaps and conflicts for DEMA, DSP, and DNG.
