The Olson Group, under contract to the New York State Department of Safety and Homeland Security (DSHS), researched and delivered an after action report addressing the State’s actions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic from the onset of the first cases through the end of 2022. The report reviewed and evaluated State policies and their implementation addressing issues including public health; hospitals, inpatient facilities, and congregate care; education; infrastructure; private business; and public messaging. The 250+ page report includes a detailed timeline of major events and actions taken, reflecting interviews with hundreds of current and former state and local leaders, as well as other response professionals.
