Biography

Wendy Shane is the Senior Vice President of Operations and Administration and has worked alongside Mr. Olson for over 19 years.  She joined The Olson Group in 2005 as the Business Manager and project analyst, contributing to the Hurricane Katrina After Action Review.  Before this, Ms. Shane was employed at TAIC, where she held various roles as the office manager, human resources representative, and project analyst in the Washington, DC office, supporting multiple projects.

Before her tenure at TAIC, Ms. Shane spent seven years at Loomis, Fargo & Co. in Springfield, VA, where she managed the Accounts Payable and, later, accounts Receivable departments, collaborating closely with the controller, General Manager, and Corporate Vice Presidents.

With over thirty years of experience, Ms. Shane has demonstrated diligence and proficiency in handling increasing responsibilities and managing staff.  She oversees the accounting, human resources, operations, contracts, and logistics for The Olson Group.

During her 19 years with the company, Ms. Shane has completed several FEMA IS courses and became HSEEP certified in 2010.  She has played key roles in numerous projects as the SIMCELL lead, logistics lead, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) assistant, project analyst, and budget analyst.  In collaboration with senior staff, Ms. Shane has developed essential policies, procedures, and processes that form the foundation of The Olson Group.
